CASEing the Catty #143 Artistic Expression

Sunday 27 August 2017     Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Today's project is from the Artistic Expression section (pages 132-181) of the Annual Catalogue.     This week I've chosen to CASE the Celebrate Banner on page 179.     I needed a new banner for my display board showcasing one of the new Designer Series Papers so it was great to take this opportunity to make one.      I used the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper for the banners then layered an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The letters have been stamped in Pool Party with the "Letters for You" stamp set and cut using the Large Letters Framelits Dies. A string of 1" Gold Foil circles finishes off the banner.   It was such a fun project and looks great on my display board.   Next on the blog hop is the talented Alisa Tilsner, you won't want to miss her cool cards!   And as always we'd love you to play along

Global Design Project 101 | Colour Challenge

Friday 25 August 2017   Welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing the card I made for this week's Global Design Project #101 Colour Challenge. As it is a Colour Challenge there's a chance to be selected as a Guest Designer for the next colour challenge. I would love that! Here are this week's challenge colours:     These colours look great together and I really enjoyed using them to create my card.   Have you tried the new washi tape? I love they way they have grouped it in colours - so user friendly and the designs are really cute. For the background I used the embossing paste coloured with a small amount of Bermuda Bay ink. This is such a fun product to use!     The feathers are from the Just Add Color Specialty Designer Series Paper and I've coloured them in with Night of Navy and Flirty Flamingo. I used my Aqua Pen with lots of water, going over it several times and this DSP handles it really well. Happy Birthday is stamped in Bermu

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Thursday 24 August 2017       Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop for August. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from Christchurch, New Zealand. The theme this month is an "Inspiration Photo" and here's what Jessie Holton has for us! Please hop around the list at the bottom to check out all the wonderful projects created this month. I love the colours in this tube of cleanser, they're fresh and bright and the background instantly brought the new Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue to mind! I chose Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Lemon Lime Twist and Melon Mambo as my colours to match the photograph and used my new Season to Sparkle stamp set - also from the new Holiday Catalogue. I heat embossed the chandelier in white and then coloured it with the smooshing technique! This technique is so much fun and I can't wait to try it some more. My absolute favourite item in the Holida

CASEing the Catty #142 Love & Sympathy

Sunday 20 August 2017     Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Today's card is from the Love & Sympathy section (pages 86-101) of the Annual Catalogue.     We need to be sending more cards of Love rather than the latter!   This week I've chosen to CASE the Lemon Zest card at the bottom left hand corner. I've kept the layout and colours the same - just a few changes!   For the base I've used the Hexagons 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - have you tried these? They are amazing - check out the video below. The gold dotted acetate is from the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate collection - it adds an instant touch of class to any project. The fruit is from the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP and has been fussy cut! Yep love it or hate it - which "fussy cut" team are you on?   The inside got a little bit of attention too with matching elements. And here's the Stampin' Up!® video I mention

Global Design Project 100 | CASE the Designer Celebration

Saturday 19 August 2018 You know when you have a million and one things to do and you manage to do everything but what you should be doing? Yip I've managed that successfully for the past 3 hours! Although I did get to try a new technique  - smooshing!   It's lots of fun and appeals to the "artist" in me! I used my new Season to Sparkle stamp set. The chandelier has been embossed in white and then I smooshed the colour over the top using a piece of clear acetate. The colours I used are Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo.     And this is Krista Frattin's card I've cased.    And I decided I couldn't let the week go by without CASEing Brian's card too! Once again I've used the Season to Sparkle stamp set with the Chandelier Thinlits. Where Brian has pink I have silver and where Brian has gold I have pink! Right I'm off to get some jobs done! See you tomorrow.

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Thursday 17 August 2017     Welcome to the fourth Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from Christchurch, New Zealand. I hope you enjoy my project which showcases my "Favourite Incolor" from the 2017-18 Annual Catalogue.     Yes I've picked Berry Burst as my favourite! It will be interesting to see what colour comes up the most!  This super cute little box is from the Creativity Delivered 2017 Holiday Catalogue. It's a Mini Pizza Box. I've decorated it with paper from the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series, a piece of co-ordinating Berry Burst 1.3cm Finely Woven Ribbon and the "for you" sentiment has been stamped in Berry Burst then clear embossed. And on the inside ...   I've made six little cards to go in the Whisper White 7.6 x 7.6cm (3" x 3") envelopes that fit perfectly in the Mini Pizza Boxes.   Both designs are using the Colorful Seasons stamp set with of co

Global Design Project 100 | CASE the Designer Celebration

Tuesday 15 August 2017     Wow this week celebrates 100 GDP Challenges! I can hardly believe that in 4 weeks I will have been participating in these challenges every week for 2 years! Yip I haven't missed a week although there have been some close calls! Every Monday night I eagerly await the new challenge going up and start planning what I'll do.     To celebrate 100 Challenges there's a twist - pick which designer you'd like to case (or more than one)! I've chosen to CASE Louise Sharp's gorgeous Christmas card.      I don't know if I've done Louise's card justice! I love her style and while she's a pink fan I'm more of a blue fan so that's where I started. I used the embossing paste just changed the mask and made mine into a birthday card. I'd love to CASE some of the other cards too but it depends on how my week goes! Everyone on the Design Team are amazingly talented and creative - I just love following

CASEing the Catty #141 Birthday

Sunday 13 August 2017 Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Today's cards is from the Birthday section (pages 68-85) of the Annual Catalogue. There is so much to see in this catalogue and even though I'm looking over each section we are CASEing each week with a "fine tooth comb" I still manage to miss things. I love making my way around the hop to see what everyone has created - the possibilities are endless!     My inspiration comes from this super cute card - I love the layout.   Aren't the little animals cute? These have been cute out from the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper. The piece of black and white DSP is also from this set. I used a piece of washi tape along the top - it's from the Basics Pack 3.     "Time to Party" is from the Confetti Celebration stamp set and I've coloured it using Stampin' Write Markers in Flirty Flamingo, Sahara Sand and Bermuda Bay to co-ordinate with

Global Design Project 099 | Theme Challenge

Thursday 10 August 2017     Hello and welcome to my blog - thanks so much for stopping by! My card today is for the latest challenge over at the Global Design Project. This week's challenge is a Wedding/Anniversary theme.     One of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up!® demonstrator is that you are able to order products early - I still get excited when a big brown box is delivered to my door!   The wedding/anniversary challenge immediately made me think of the new "Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper" in the 2017 Holiday Catalogue (Sales Period starts 1 September 2017)! As this DSP has such a cute design I didn't want to cover it up so I kept my sentiment and embellishments small.     The Silver Foil Heart is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and co-ordinates perfectly with this DSP.     I added a twist of Silver Metallic Thread, Silver Mini Sequin Trim and a piece of Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon. The DSP has been layere
